Y'all, let's end this year right. This month, I'm bringing on my friend and fantastic musician, Rebecca Berlin. She's FocusMusic's most recent recipient of the Rising Artist Award and she's been everywhere lately. If you haven't heard her, you'll want to tune in, she's pretty fantastic!

Rebecca started playing the piano in first grade because they said she was too small to play the flute. What started as a consolation prize ended up being a good match, cause try singing while playing a flute!

She took up guitar to have a more portable instrument, and by high school was performing her songs locally. Her style is folk, with a twist of jazz and musical theater and mixes the wide eyed vulnerability of a Disney princess with a dose of sarcastic angst.

Rebecca performs locally and regionally on the east coast, both as a singer songwriter and playing covers in retirement centers. She has been recognized as a MASC winner (2023/2024), WAMMY nominee (2024), winner of the South Florida folk and acoustic music festival songwriters competition (2024) and as Focus Music’s 2024 Rising Artist.
